May’s SourcedBoxer of the month is Gemma, a 28 year old nurse with a love for healthy food and snacks, trying to make more of a conscious effort to take care of her body to live a happy, healthy life.


Why did you sign up to SourcedBox?

I signed up as I loved the idea of a box of healthy 'treats' being delivered to my door every month. I love that I have never heard of some of the products before so I would never normally have tried them. SourcedBox has let me taste so many amazing products that I would never have bought myself. I also love the excitement I get each month when I get home from work to see the little green box on my doorstep, it’s like a treat to myself.


Are you a 'test everything out as soon as it arrives' or 'save the snacks to have through the month' kind of SourcedBox snacker?

I am trying to be more conscious of my snacking habits so I try to save my snacks through the month but I have to admit that there have been a few times when I have eaten everything within a few days. If I find something I love I try to order more as soon as possible.

How does SourcedBox help you to lead a happy and healthy life?

SourcedBox helps as I know that the snacks I am eating are made using simple natural ingredients that taste amazing and it gives me huge variety as I always have new snacks to try each month.


What has been your favourite snack so far?

That's a really tough question, it’s too hard to narrow it to one snack, so my top 3 are; Cacao and date flapjack from The Living Food Kitchen, yummy scrummy raw chocolate brownie from Elements for Life and the Cranberry Kiss chocolate from Conscious Chocolate.

What were your top 3 picks from April's box and why?

  • The Department of Breakfast salted caramel granola ‘cause I am obsessed with anything that involves salted caramel and this was amazing sprinkled on top of greek yoghurt.

  • Goodio chocolate wild blueberry chocolate as it felt like it was having a naughty treat as it was so good.

  • The Toasted Seed Company curry crunch, I have been sprinkling these on my lunch time salads for a bit of spice.
